My research interests concern both theoretical and applied Mathematics. I obtained my MSc in Mathematics from University of Cagliari, with a thesis on Lie Algebras, and a PhD from the University of Trento, where I joined the "Laboratory of Industrial Mathematics and Cryptography”. My PhD thesis concerned elliptic curves over finite fields and representation of primes by integral binary quadratic forms. Since 2015, I have been carrying out research on elliptic curve cryptography, and in particular on the use of summation polynomials for solving the Elliptic Curve Discrete Logarithm Problem (ECDLP), and on pairings. A substantial part of my research regards blockchain technologies, being interested both in cryptographic aspects of this innovative technology and in practical and industrial applications. I have been collaborating with several companies and start-ups developing blockchain solutions.
