2016 - present fMRI studies on action concepts and categories; investigate the neural organization of different action categories (e.g. object manipulation, communication, etc) and their conceptual components (e.g. Wurm et al., JNS, 2017; Wurm & Caramazza, Nat Comm, 2019).
2011 - 2016 fMRI studies on action recognition and representation; identify which regions in the brain encode perceptual and more general representations of observed actions (e.g. Wurm & Lingnau, JNS, 2015; Wurm et al., CerCor, 2016).
2008 - 2011 fMRI, behavioral, and developmental studies on contextual modulation of action recognition; investigate how the perception and understanding of actions is influenced by contextual information (e.g. in which scenes an action takes place, who is carrying out an action, etc; (e.g. Wurm & Schubotz, NeuroImage, 2012; Wurm et al.
