  • 2006: Hugo-Denkmeier award of the German center for aerospace research (DLR)
  • 2007: Heinz Maier-Leibnitz award of the German Science Foundation (DFG), for the scientific progress in the field of
               computational fluidmechanics. The award was handed over during a special ceremony on 06/05/2007 in Bonn
               by the German minister of research and education, Dr. A. Schavan.
