| He has been teaching since 1990 Fluid-Mechanics courses. He also attended, as member of the local unit, to some European Projects: Eroslope, Tharmit, DFR (Debris Flow Risk), IMPACT. Actually he is involved in IRASMOS, started in the end of 2005. | |

He has been working for many years on river and torrent engineering, facing sediment transport phenomena under general conditions. He experienced theoretical and numerical approaches, and compared his findings, in most cases, with the experimental evidences obtained on properly designed laboratory facilities. |

Present research issues: -mathematical and numerical treatment of two-phase flow over rigid or mobile bed in schematic or complex topography. -Experimental and numerical assessment of morphological events substantially affected by bed-load transport not aligned with the main stream-direction. - Rheology of suspension and of granular-liquid mixtures. - Grainsize-segregation processes - Erosional dam-break with strong implications from the pore-pressure wave in the liquid phase. |
