Education   

Law degree cum laude (Laurea in Giurisprudenza), Faculty of Law, University of Trento, Thesis on the codification process in the Netherlands  (entirely published in Rivista di Diritto Civile). 

PhD., University of Trento, in Italian and English. Thesis on the European Civil Code (Ph.D defence held in English).

2008 - 2013, shared appointment (together with Prof. Roberto Toniatti, Professor of Comparative constitutional law, Faculty of Law, University of Trento) for the funding assigned by the European Commission within the VII framework programme (Atlantis) of the transnational forensic training programme “Graduate Dual Degree in Transatlantic Law” (“Transnational Law Programme”, University of Trento, University of Utrecht, University of Washington St. Louis- Missouri, University of Belfast, University of Lisbon).   

Four-year project, with funding for 600,000.00 Euro, 200,000.00 of which assigned to the University of Trento. 

2013 - 2017, National coordinator for the project “Rights Reserved? Constraints and Contradictions of European Citizenship” – bEUcitizens – (European Commission, VII Framework Program, general coordinator Prof. Sybe A. De Vries, Professor of Single Market, Utrecht University, Faculty of Law and Government, The Netherlands). 

Four-year project, with a total amount of 6.5 million Euro, 225,000.00 of which assigned to the University of Trento. 

 

Research financial support 

2008, Scientific coordinator of the project “Traduzione ed interpretazione del diritto: prime riflessioni" (translation and interpretation of law: preliminary account), funded by the Trentino-Alto Adige Region.

2010, Academic coordinator, with Prof. Giovanni Pascuzzi and Prof. Jens Woelk, of the project “Traduzione dei termini giuridici: lessici, ontologie e semantica dei diritti” (translation of legal terms: lexicon, ontology and semantics of law), co-funded by the University of Trento within the Ateneo-Miur agreement programme.
