Mental fatigue: neurophysiological correlates and effects in decision-making tasks |
|
()
Sunday 27 October 2024
Fatigue can be defined as a subjective feeling of tiredness, exhaustion and lack of energy that can interfere with various tasks. The research project aims to identify possible central markers (with EEG) of mental fatigue and to describe its effects in a motor decision task. This project is carried out in collaboration with the University of Verona, where the research activity will take place. |

Effects of transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS) in visual perception |

Saturday 19 October 2024
The aim is to establish if there are effects of low-intensity (2-3mA ptp) transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS) in human visual perception, that can be explained by entrainment of oscillatory brain activity through direct brain stimulation. Or to see if such effects are related to different mechanisms. |

Placebo effect and movement: a behavioural and neurophysiological study |
|
()
Saturday 19 October 2024
The individual's expectations (induced with verbal information or with associative learning) are able to modify perception and behaviour. In this project, we intend to explore the central (with EEG) and peripheral (with SCR, HRV, EMG) neurophysiological mechanisms of the placebo effect in the motor domain. This project is carried out in collaboration with the University of Verona, where the research activity will take place. |
