I graduated with full grades and honours in Economics (MSc) at the University of Pisa. I focused on the courses that were most quantitative-oriented, such as: Quantitative Economics, Static and Dynamic Optimization, Mathematical Methods for Financial Markets. For my graduation, I defended a dissertation on “The Economics of TTIP”, using a Ricardian framework to show that international trade may be counterproductive for both countries when negative externalities of production are considered. |

I am most fascinated by narratives and their role in the process of social identity creation. Narratives are a way to convey a powerful representation of the world to others, including strong emotional and identitarian features of storytelling: a dramatic or problematic event, identification of good characters from villains, and a morale. I believe narratives are essential to understand many social phenomena, from politics to economics. I also strive to keep my tool box diversified and always look for new opportunities to expand my set of methodologies. As concerns formal analysis, as of now I employed dynamic equations, ricardian, and game-theoretic models. I seek to be proficient in the largest possible number of softwares, too. I am proficient in R and have some expertise with Stata and Java. I also look forward to apply empirical tools in some of my upcoming projects. |
