The lecturer is available to consider, upon specific request by students, the supervision of bachelor's or master's theses concerning the generalizations of the weighted mean functions in n real variables. There are various possible applicative contexts: from multicriteria or multiagent decision models to the representation of preferences in vector or matrix frameworks, from welfare functions to inequality indices. The study of these topics at bachelor/master level necessarily involves elements of mathematical algebra and analysis, and therefore it assumes a good knowledge of the fundamental material covered by the first year Mathematics course offered by DEM. |
