Professor Savadori has held or co-held the following teachings: General Psychology, Personality and Motivation, Economic Psychology, Psychology of Thought, Psychology of Organizations, Consumer Psychology, Interview and Questionnaire, Questionnaire Design, Tools for Empirical Economics, Psychology of Judgment and Decision Lab.
 

Research interests

1. Risk communication: how to make patients/users/citizens understand probabilistic information regarding risks? (e.g., prenatal diagnosis, incinerator, COVID-19 etc.)2. Risk perception and risk appetite: how do people represent themselves and make decisions regarding risks? (e.g., biotechnology, nanotechnology, driving, labor, nuclear, incinerators, dorga, HIV, SARS, terrorism)3. Behavioral economics: how do people behave in decisions that are economic in nature or relevant to theories of classical economics? (scarcity heuristic, intertemporal choices, mood and altruism)4. Dual-system information processing processes: how do the two information processing systems act in decision and choice? (system 1, bottom-up, automatic vs. system 2, top-down, serial)

Research work

- From 01.05.2019 to 31.04.2022 he is the scientific responsible of the local unit of the project "Building European Communities' Resilience and Social Capital (BuildERS)" funded by the European Commission in the Horizon 2020 research and innovation program (grant agreement N° 833496). Horizon 2020 program. Duration: 3 years.

- From 01.11.2012 to 01.11.2013 he is the scientific responsible of the project "METEOTRENTINO's snow/avalanche bulletin and the cognitive aspects influencing winter hikers' decisions" partially funded by the Academy of Mountain and involving members of the Department of Economics and Management (UNITN), the Department of Physics (UNITN), CeRiSM (UNIVR) and FBK (funds are administered by CeRiSM).

- From 15.01.2013 to 15.11.2013 he is the scientific responsible of the project "Effect of physical exercise in cold and hypoxic environment on decision-making under risk conditions" funded by the University of Trento within the call for research projects "UNIVERSIADI 2013".

- From 06.06.2010 to 05.06.2012 scientific responsible for the project "Worker satisfaction and risk perception in the workplace" funded by COMUNE di ROVERETO. Duration 2 years.

- From 04.05.2010 to 05.05.2012 he is the scientific responsible of the local unit of the national project of the strategic program for the finalized research (Area 4 - Women's Health - Maternal and Child Area) "Advanced technologies for the non-invasive prenatal diagnosis of genetic and chromosomal diseases and for the predictivity of complications of pregnancy" funded by the MINISTRY OF HEALTH. Duration 2 years.

- From 2004 to 2008 Local Responsible for European Project: Network of Excellence "SAFE" (Special Non-Invasive Advances in Foetal and Neonatal Evaluation Network, C. no. 503243) funded by the European Community in the VI Framework Program. Duration 5 years.
