Study of index reduction methods for DAE and relative numerical methods for their integration

A class of numerical methods for DAE require index reduction and invariants construction. It is proposed to automate this part of symbolic manipulation using Maple and/or Matlab SymbolicToolbox. Furthermore, it is proposed to develop semi-analytical methods for automatic index reduction.
