Full professor (since 1994) of “Economia e gestione delle imprese industriali” at the Department of Economics and Management of the Università di Trento.

2007-today: Co-Director (with A. Leijohufvud) of the “Advanced Summer School on Adaptive Economic Dynamics” 

2015 - : president of the Presidio per la Qualità (Quality Assurance Service) of the University of Trento

Research interests

Current researches:
1. Organisational capabilities, growth and firm performances. The research is aimed at relating individual features of the firms (knowledge and capabilities) to general patterns of growth and profitability emerging as stylesed facts from empirical research.

2. The productivity slowdown of Italian economy: empirical measurement, comparative assessment and causes.

3. Labour, organization and technical change: the research is aimed at understanding the impact of the fourth industrial revolution on labour and firm organization

4. Evidence based management
