Research interests

My reserarch purports to investigate  how our brain organizes, represents, and selects the information from each of our different sensory modalities (such as audition,  somatosensation, vision, olfaction and smell). vissmell, taste, sight, hearing, and touch) for making sense of a multisensory world. One of my favourite topics is multisensory perception of food because, I think, is one of the most multisensory experiences of our life. Moreover, I am also interested in how we build our body representation true the different multisensory cues that we receive. Furthermore, I am investigating how blind people use the remaining senses. Finally, I am particulary interested in studying the interaction between audition and touch because I think it represents a peculiar kind of interaction between two modalities with a number of similarities.
