Information notice on Personal Data Processing 

According to articles 13 and 14 of the EU Regulation 2016/679, GDPR - “General Data Protection Regulation” (GDPR) the University of Trento provides the Data subject with the following information.

The Data controller is University of Trento, via Calepina n. 14, 38122 Trento (Italy), email ateneo@pec.unitn.it; ateneo@unitn.it.

The Data Protection officer - DPO can be contacted to request information on personal data at the following email address: dpo@unitn.it..

Purposes and legal basis for the processing. The processing of the provided personal data is carried out by the Controller as part of its public interest tasks and - in particular - for the purpose of managing the administrative registration process, the invitation letter issuing and for the organization of the welcome arrangements (e.g. UniTrento badge, Internet account, library access, other UniTrento facilities) for the international guests invited by the Department to spend a study/research/teaching period at the University of Trento as well as for the fulfilment of related legal obligations

Recipients of the personal data and transfer to a third country Collected personal data such as name, date of birth, citizenship, residence address and ID will be disclosed by the University of Trento to the Italian Revenue Agency for the issuing of the Italian Tax Code.
The collected data will not be transferred to third countries.

Acquisition of data. The provision of the requested data is necessary to carry out the welcome procedure and any refusal to provide the requested data will render it impossible for the University to proceed.

How data are processed. Data are processed in paper, digital and telematic form by University of Trento staff in charge in relation to the task carried out in the interest of University of Trento and exclusively to the extent that it is necessary in the performance of its institutional tasks.
No automated decision-making is done.

Data retention periodPersonal data are processed for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which they were collected, until the conclusion of the procedure and according to requirements stated by law.

Rights of the data subjects. The data subject shall have the right to obtain from the controller the rights stated by the articles 15 et seq. of the GDPR, in particular: the access to personal data, the rectification and the integration, the restriction of processing or the right to object to processing of personal data. Within the meaning of the article 17, paragraph 3 point b), the right to erasure do not subsist when the processing of the data is mandatory to ensure the performance of tasks carried out in the public interest.
A specific request can be submitted to the Data protection officer at the above address for the exercise of the rights. The data subject shall have right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority - the Italian Data Protection Authority.
