  • Thesis: Study of the efficiency of the search for continuous gravitational waves from isolated neutron stars (supervisors: dr. Cristiano Palomba - prof. Pia Astone) Abstract: I here present a deep study of the efficiency of an analysis procedure developed to look for continuous gravitational waves emitted by isolated neutron stars without an electromagnetic counterpart. For this study I analyzed the LIGO S6 data in which about 1600 simulated signals were injected. The study was done on both the cases of single detectors and the coincidences between the two
