Carriera accademica ed attività didattica

David Macii received the 5-year degree in Electronic Engineering with full marks and honors and the Ph.D. degree in Information Engineering from the University of Perugia, Perugia, Italy in 2000 and 2003, respectively. In 2005 he also received the Master degree of Advanced Studies in Embedded System Design from the University of Lugano, Lugano, Switzerland. He was with the German Aerospace Centre DLR in Munich in 2000. He was a visiting researcher at the Department of Electronic Network and Computer Engineering (DSP and VLSI group) of the University of Westminster, London, UK in 2002, at the Advanced Learning and Research Institute (ALARI) in Lugano, Switzerland between 2003 and 2005 and at the Berkeley Wireless Research Center (BWRC) of the University of California, Berkeley between 2009 and 2010 (Fulbright Research Scholar)

Between 2005 and 2015 he was an Assistant Professor at the University of Trento, first with the Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science and then with the Department of Industrial Engineering.

Currently, he is an Associate Professor with the Department of Industrial Engineering of the University of Trento. Recently, he received the national qualification as a Full Professor.

  • Industrial Electronics and Instrumentation (from A.Y. 2016-17 to present) - 6 credits -  M.S. in Mechatronics Engineering.

Over the years, he also was lecturer or co-lecturer of various other courses, most notably "Laboratory of embedded systems" (3 credits - M.S. in Telecommunications Engineering), "Electronic Measurement Instruments" (6 credits, B.S. in Telecommunications Engineering), and Laboratory of Wireless Sensor Networks (6 credits, M.S. in Computer Science).
