Research interests

I am interested in doing research on hardware and software for networked embedded systems that have resource and energy constraints. I am interested in problems at the intersection of embedded systems, the Internet of Things (IoT), wireless communication and network protocols, self-organizing sensor networks, distributed algorithms, operating systems/run-times, and many more.

My current research activities include:

  • Hardware design of batteryless sensors and energy harvesting
  • Software and hardware support for intermittent computing on batteryless devices
  • Transiently-powered networking, backscatter communication, and visible light communication
  • Learning and inference on the batteryless edge.
