Academic career and teaching activities

2009 - present: "K. Mueller" Magnetic Resonance Laboratory. Dept. of Industrial Engineering, University of Trento. Research Engineer. Main activity: Materials characterization by nuclear magnetic resonance and electron paramagnetic resonances: Review of the literature related to individual projects, design of experiments appropriate to the specific case, collection and analysis of data. Collaboration in the drafting of relevant scientific articles and dissemination of results. Support the preparation of scientific projects that include NMR characterization. Technical management: ordinary and extraordinary maintenance, relations with suppliers and users. Training for users.

2018 - present: Laboratory Exercises for the course "Laboratory of Chemistry" (LT, DII, University of Trento)

Research interests

Developement and application of solid state NMR.

Developement and application of EPR.

Synthesis of nanomaterials via sol-gel tecnique.
Research work

Structural characterizaton of materials of different type, such as polymers, silicon-based materials, biopolymers, organic and inorganic compounds and hybrids. Special focus on interfaces. 

Main analytical techniques under use: Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy especially at the solid state and Electron Spin Resonance Spectroscopy, usually combined with other analytical tecniques such as Infrared Spectroscopy.
